Important Announcement

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE MARCUS FOUNDATION

The Marcus Foundation is pleased to announce that last month it provided a $50,000 grant to the Massachusetts General Hospital ("MGH") to support both brain tumor research being conducted at MGH, as well as to fund the Marcus Fund for Families, which helps defray the cost to families with children being treated at MGH for brain tumors and other neurological diseases.

With the government cutting funding for ongoing cancer research, hospitals, such as MGH, must rely on private support to enable its research efforts to continue. That is why the Marcus Foundation provided the most recent donation and hopes to continue that with an additional grant later this year.

To assist us in this endeavor, we will be holding another cash- raffle fundraiser in the coming months. We ask that you look out for the announcement and share it with family and friends, as the need for your support is truly critical.

In the interim, we thank you for your past support and extend our best wishes for a healthy and happy New Year.

Sincerely,

Mark Niziak
President, The Marcus Foundation

A Message From MGH

Dear Mr. Niziak,

I am delighted to thank you and the Marcus Foundation for your most recent gifts to benefit brain tumor research and the Marcus Fund for Families at Massachusetts General Hospital. We are honored to continue to be a part of your son’s legacy in this meaningful way.

Thanks to the foundation’s generosity, Dr. William Curry and his colleagues are equipped with the essential tools and technologies to focus on reaching the next scientific breakthroughs in understanding and treating brain tumors. In addition, the foundation’s philanthropy continues to provide vital assistance for families and children receiving treatment at Mass General, ultimately bringing hope to so many during a difficult time.

In the ever-changing landscape of medicine, we are anchored by loyal friends like the Marcus Foundation. Thank you once again for your partnership.

Sincerely,
